2018世界社会科学论坛即将开幕

2018年9月25-28日将在日本福冈举行第四届世界社会科学论坛，主题是 “可持续未来安全与平等”。世界社会科学系列论坛是联合国教科文组织与国际社会科学理事会（ISSC）框架协议名下的旗舰活动之一。论坛由国际社会科学理事会主办，联合国教科文组织资助。

在四天会期里，与会者将研究安全的各个方面，探讨安全需求和社会对平等与可持续性的要求之间的关系。论坛将尝试明确全球范围和特定地区在安全领域的研究重点，以及相关数据和知识差距。

论坛将汇集研究人员、资助者、政策制定者和其他利益相关者一起讨论社会面临的主要挑战，评估社会科学的贡献和能力，并为之后的研究、实践和政策制定提供建议。

“2018世界社会科学论坛”将由日本九州大学承办，日本科学理事会（SCJ）和日本科学技术振兴机构（JST）提供支持。

World Social Science Forum 2018

The 4th World Social Science Forum will be dedicated to the theme of “Security and Equality for Sustainable Futures” in Fukuoka, Japan, from 25 to 28 September 2018. The Forum is organized by the International Social Science Council (ISSC), under the patronage of UNESCO.

Over the course of four days, participants will look into various dimensions of security, interrogating how the demand for security relates to societies’ quest for equality and sustainability.

The Forum will allow identifying critical research priorities on security, as well as data and knowledge gaps, globally and in specific regions.

It will gather researchers, funders, policymakers and other stakeholders to discuss important societal challenges, take stock of social science contributions and capacities, and make recommendations for future research, practice and policy.

The ISSC’s World Social Science Forum 2018 is hosted by Kyushu University, and supported by the Science Council of Japan (SCJ) and the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST).

The series of World Social Science Fora is one of ISSC’s flagship activities in the context of the Framework Agreement between UNESCO and the International Social Science Council.

The ISSC is an independent non-governmental organization established by UNESCO in 1952. It is the primary body representing the social, economic and behavioral sciences at an international level. Its mission is to strengthen social science to help solve global priority problems.
